At Climate Ledger Africa (CLA), we partner with donors, impact investors, foundations, and development partners to implement bankable climate projects that empower communities across Botswana and Zimbabwe, with a vision to expand regionally.
In the project derisking phase, CLA operates as a grant-funded NGO, ensuring projects are established with high standards of transparency, governance, and accountability. In the project expansion phase, funding transitions to a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) or Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), allowing communities to directly manage investment, generate returns, and reinvest retained earnings into future climate initiatives, creating a self-sustaining cycle of climate action and community development.
Every stage of CLA’s work is designed to deliver measurable social, environmental, and economic impact while empowering communities as active leaders in climate solutions.
