Climate Ledger Africa is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager to oversee financial management, ensure compliance, and support the organisation’s growth. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in budgeting, financial planning, donor reporting, and strengthening financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Manage organisational finances, including cash flow and financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, donor requirements, and internal policies
  • Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Develop and maintain financial systems, controls, and procedures
  • Support grant management, including budgeting and financial reporting for donor-funded projects
  • Provide financial insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Supervise finance staff

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA) is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management (NGO experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
  • Experience managing donor-funded projects and reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
