Climate Ledger Africa is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager to oversee financial management, ensure compliance, and support the organisation’s growth. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in budgeting, financial planning, donor reporting, and strengthening financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Manage organisational finances, including cash flow and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, donor requirements, and internal policies
- Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors
- Develop and maintain financial systems, controls, and procedures
- Support grant management, including budgeting and financial reporting for donor-funded projects
- Provide financial insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Supervise finance staff
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA) is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management (NGO experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
- Experience managing donor-funded projects and reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
